What it does

Turns screenshots and an optional script into a narrated, captioned product demo video. No screen recording needed. If you don't have a script, Claude can write one from your screenshots and instructions.

  • Smooth zooms, a moving cursor, a step tracker, and a branded intro and outro
  • Detects your accent colour, light or dark theme, fonts and logo from the screenshots
  • Free offline voiceover (NVIDIA MagpieTTS on your own GPU), an edge-tts fallback, or your own recordings
  • Renders with Remotion from a manifest.json, so new videos need no new code
  • Checks duration, resolution and audio sync before it finishes

How to use it

  1. Copy the product-demo-video/ folder into your skills directory, for example ~/.claude/skills/product-demo-video/.
  2. Ask Claude to make a video, for example: "Make a demo from the screenshots in ./shots for IT admins, under 2 minutes."

The repo includes a sample (examples/lumina/) so you can try it without your own product.

Requirements

Node.js 18+, Python 3.9+ with pillow and numpy, and ffmpeg. An NVIDIA GPU is optional, for local voice. Output is 1920x1080.
