Magic Cursor
A system-tray AI overlay for Windows and Mac. Shake your cursor, and Magic Cursor reads the screen context around it so a model can help without you copying and pasting anything. Currently in v0.1 beta.
Four modes
- Ask: type a question about what is on screen.
- Act: the model uses 16 built-in tools to take actions. Risky actions need your approval and are logged.
- Bubble: short answers in a small pill next to your cursor.
- Chip: one-tap actions such as Explain, Fix and Summarise.
Context and models
It can use screenshots, your clipboard and the active window as context, and keeps your last 50 sessions locally. Bring your own keys for Ollama, OpenAI, Groq or Anthropic, or run a local model. When you use a local model, traffic stays on localhost.
Plans
- Open Source: free, source on GitHub, bring your own keys.
- Managed: $9.99 a month. No API keys to manage, OpenRouter models, voice input, and a Windows
.msior macOS.dmginstaller.
Built with Rust and React.
